Worth visiting this beautiful and powerful place to get inspired & keep learning (we try to go annually to get educated)*6th picHARRY WEESE METRO STATION Arena Stage (fun fact: the same masters of modern American architecture who designed our little camp shower house).And a couple spots to hit a stones throw from DC in Alexandria:.THE SPITE HOUSE – imagine its 1830 and you hate the neighborhood drunks so you build a house in your alley. Now the skinniest house in American at 7ft 6 in wide. (You know we Love tiny houses- heard you can airbnb this thing?)THE STABLER-LEADBEATER APOTHECARY since 1792 (time capsule where George Washington got his drugs). The gift shop is one of my favs -anywhere..GATSBYS TAVERN since 1770- A time traveling public hosue experience with incredible food. …SAVING THE BEST FOR LAST !!The greatest Museum in DC, many say the countryTHE NATIONAL CHILDRENS MUSEUM (full disclosure that Im 100% partial, serving as a Trustee on the Board) but folks- its epic beyond words. Sitting in the Reagan building a block from the White House- the best possible cause & worthy of a trip to DC by itself.
