GOOD MORNING Heres to the little things that help us wake up (Including DJ Cassidys song pick for Wisconsin)If youre a child of the 70s you might also remember starting your day with soap on a rope. They bring us back to camp showers of our youth.Weve wanted to make these forever! So we just partnered up with the folks at Two Hearted Ale to make a different kind of camp gear. We think that Hope (and soap on a rope) Are all due for their comeback.Theyre handmade with coconut, safflower, & hemp oil (plus coffee grounds for scrubbing). These fish are infused with eucalyptus & peppermint, then tied up on a hemp rope. Theyre kind to the planet & you can get em at @BellsBrewery, in their brick & mortar shop, and in our little store at camp.*This little collab is one of a couple of different products that were making to help kick off our bigger partnership: A Two Hearted summer hideaway event were hosting. (To learn how to get a chance to come, head over toBellsbeer.com/twoheartedhideawayThanks to our soap-on-a-rope volunteer model: @zach_arias_ and to @nathanbobey for the pics

The ONE design element that holds more power than anything else to connect to you your childhoodI loved all the questions I got from @laura.alice.fenton @housebeautiful – the things that make us think about the choices we make when we are designing a space it was fun to share some of the things Ive learned works and what I avoid at all costs ( Story just out this week )..And loved that they featured photos by our friends @taylorhallobrien and @bobcoscarelli – if you need an interiors photographer, check them out (they both have the unique talent of making any space look way better than it deserves)

This past week, designers from @studiokcreative descended upon camp for their annual creative rereat Things got a little weird. (And were here for it.)@karenherold, youve created something special bringing this crew together

ADULTS ONLY (not really)*biker campers always get priority parking here*First pic:This crew rolled in this past weekend to set up in our new 100 year old log cabins in the back acres. Thanks @nbcchicagotoday @catiekeogh and @dottiedziub for the shout out this week! (Even though we ended up in a story about camps for grown ups- only. And we welcome kids of all ages.we always appreciate the love and being Included. And We have a ton of different groups who rent out the whole joint and throw their own adult only Camps.

Little things i loved at Mackinac last week…The entrance matt at the Chippewa. The Woods restaurant (that you can only get to by horse & carriage)The way the soldier bunks are made in the fort barracks. (those U.S. medallions on the headboards )The pewter mugs lining the ceiling of the jockey club on the Grand Hotel estate. The lady named Jane who took us to the basement of her 3rd generation souvenir shop on the main drag… and let us explore generation of deadstock souvenirs (research digging for Wandawegas upcoming centennial year)The private tour of the even more private Silver Birches estate (liz ware, you are doing preservation work for the ages)The friends we got to spend 4 days with at this magic island – thank you @lori_seidemann & @struggle_inc for inviting our fam to tag along with yoursThese two turkeys in the first pic- (my heart worn daily on both sleeves). And seeing David for the first time in 25 years wear a ball cap the little things that we love the most are always the biggest.

RESTOCKING UPDATE on the new bedding line. Even though Target sold out first thing- Restock IS in the works ! We have many other retailers across the country whove also picked up the collection – from our manufacturing partner @makerscollectivehome to @bedbathandbeyond and (@homedepot is my favorite.Cause trying to keep a 99 year old camp standing means that we basically live there )What we are most excited about is that this line is accessible to everybody. somebody asked me recently why we think that people are so drawn to camp style.I think because its timely and timeless. It doesnt chase trends because its not born from a fad. Camp as a place and shared experience that connects us across generations and zip codes. Its the great equalizer. (which we could all use more of these days)So the layered textiles from the old camps that we bring into our homes are reminders of a simpler time and place. They help us tap into the core memories that shape our childhoods- and our kids childhoodsIts how a silkscreened Souvenir flocked pillow with that old school tassle trim can be a time transporter… How the liner of a comforter that reminds you of the Inside of your childhood sleeping bag can be a talisman- that reconnect us with those shared experiences that shape us.and we think that feeling will never go out of style…Many friends of camp helped with this project. And for that we are so grateful Photos by @bobcoscarelli. UPDATE: SOLD OUT at Target.com since launch this morning A big dream for our little camp comes true today! This collection is the result of so many years of hoarding antique textiles for research & inspiration. Were so freaking happy to see it finally out in the world. Every piece has a layered backstory that were sharing on our website. Available on @Target @bedbathandbeyond (and so many other national retailers that it makes our hearts burst).Welll share more in the coming days, and details on more retailers picking it up in store – but heres the nutshell:ABOUT: The Collection draws its inspiration from the textiles, patterns, and palette of vintage artifacts that have filled the rustic cabins and accented the layered history of this national registry resort for nearly a century. Embracing wilderness themes and the lodge motifs of American summer camps, the line celebrates the nostalgia of the All-American getaway: Camp Wandawega, Est. 1925…..Photos by @bobcoscarelli @nathanbobey styling by @melissamariephoto collection with @makerscollectivehome
