BABY ITS COLD OUTSIDE. no better time for scotch. or to turn a toboggan into a bar.

INSTANT BAR:ingredients: 1 toboggan, a ton of booze, some thrift decanters (these were $3-$8 each)some resale MCM glasses) some vintage stir sticks, some bar nuts (in our case peanuts, cashews and walnuts) in decanters. optional: animal hide instructions:grab a couple saw horses (or in this case kitchen bar stools)-top with all other ingredients- bottoms, up, ya’ll. * thanks, desiree and bill for modeling your mugs!* lenny and me resale store on milwaukee ave. for the freaking amazing vintage toboggan ($90)* cirlce of friends thrift in elkhorn for the brass and walnut antique bar tray ($15!)

we had the pleasure of hosting jacob hand this weekend up at wanda. he is a photographer who’s work we love. check it out at jacobhand.com. in an hour of downtime from the film shoot, we coaxed him into shooting a couple of rooms for us. (he shoots for everyone from Chiat Day to Random house, so we consider ourselves very lucky.) thanks, jacob!

LIGHTS. CAMERA. ACTION.

our friend & photographer / director CHRIS STRONG is up at camp this week with a crew shooting short film. we dont know the title yet, but the premise is that an ice fisherman loses a toe in an auger miss hap, only to spend the rest of his days searching for the fish that stole his toe. it also involveslate night shooting with flaming minnow buckets full of kerosine. stay tuned here for a film clip we hope to post soon- in the mean time,here are some shots of said toe & the fisherman having a camp breakfast before…
