I was raised on a farm in Southern Illinois. Population 4000. My dad was a truck driver and bricklayer. LORD of THE LAWNS.(Thats the name of our neighbor and long time lawn care / leaf remover guy) ..The last leaves are falling (which is our sign that the lord will be coming soon).The Photographer who captured the end trails of autumn for us is our friend @erikengstromphoto the last shot is of our friend @iamcraigsteven..who is not the – or a – lord- but knows a thing or two about them (hes a former minister turned photographer & creative) check him out at @thecraighensel .Also- our new black @webergrills is getting a work out this weekend – had to get the new one to match the #wandawegahillhouse

I didnt expect to cry at 5:45 am on a Wednesday. But here we are. Just opened the link to Carrie & Lizs wedding. Never have I seen happier people.If anybody is looking – Ill be here zooming in on the pictures – my favorite part of hosting weddings here is seeing the photos – all the expressions of the friends and family in the pews, in the crowd.Its when other people are that happy for each other that you know two people are meant to be together.Congratulations Liz & Carrie.And well done @nicolecalivaphoto for capturing it all.

Warm toes, warm heart. I love walking by a @topdrawershop and see our cabin socks in the window. Most recently – Chicago New York and Boston. It feels like Johnny Appleseed – a little bit of camp sprinkled across the country. (But Its always work travel so I cant wait to get back home).We love them.
