For a good time, call @blindbarber Always love having this crew back year after year. (This time they brought along some pretty incredible chefs, music – all the things )They are fueled by the relentless pursuit of a good time as we all should be@doublehappinessfanclub photos

Back in 2014, I went to Wandawega for the first time. and met my future wife..It was a perfect fall day when Pete & @Pnevins of Middlebrow brewery met, a @kinfolk dinner that @jasonhammel brought @lulacafe to create..Pete explained that he had just left his career as an attorney to chase his dream of opening a brewery with the purpose of supporting those in need. Polly was managing at @lulacafe – and the rest is history. .This picture was taken on that day – and it just ended up as a label for their newest endeavor : the Wine Co. of @middle_brow_beers_and_winesIts called Float a sparkling chardonnay that (as they describe it): like a Midwestern lake splashWe think its a beautiful example of how Chicagos creative and culinary communities come full circle in ways nobody can predict. All these years later – theyve grown in so many beautiful ways most recently -a new baby boy. Congratulations @pnevins & Pete. I hope you bring the family back soon. Although our rope swing has been locked up for years (from campers who are less athletic) it still hangs strong and it may be time to reshoot this photo .Float is carried at all of our local favs including our culinary partner @__all_together_now__ .Why We love them:Middle Brow Beer Co believes in good beer and supporting their community. Part of this commitment to their roots is found in their apprenticeship program, which gives training and hands-on experience to Chicagos disconnected youth. Great beer is only possible with the help of great people, which is why Middle Brow Beer Co invests locally, to bring the best beer they can make to a national audience..Our friends @prezpipe & @noelbronson grabbing a pic on the lodge pool table

Dropping this morning. Our favorite collaboration yet.WANDAWEGA x HAMMS.This IS your grandfathers beer. And its been at camp all along. To celebrate the release of the original Hamms can design – weve teamed up with Hamms to recreate a series of 12 custom old school products that you wont find anywhere outside of your grandparents attic or a vintage store. Check out the whole line at SummerOfHamms.comHamms cans and bottles have been a constant here forever. Its in our old photo albums – in the original dininghall. Our beer signs and deadstock supper club dinner menus folders. Its been a constant favorite at camp since 1966. So when they called us to partner up to create something special together we went crazy with researching the merch of the 60s to create a line that fits right in.

TODAYS THE DAY!Super excited to announce our new culinary partner: @__all_together_now__ All Together Now is a funky little restaurant, wine shop, and cheese counter in Chicagos Ukrainian Village neighborhood. It exists to gather people around food and drink. The wine is natural, the cheese is extra-special, and the food highlights the tastiest things about being a Midwesterner. We are offering the Grillables Basket, Picnic Basket or a fully custom menu to match your groups camp occasion.Go to our website to learn more!!

Be still my heart. If you know me, you know what this particular magazine means to me. @theworldofinteriors is the only Ive mag ever saved every issue of. The one I wont set a drink on, or put in my bag without first wrapping it obsessively, swaddling in a t shirt (really). Its the one that even fancy hotels / home castles cant influence their way into. They cover the unique stories – that also have interesting interiors that tell those stories. Not all of the spaces they cover have proper interior-designed pedigree. But all have a layered backstory. Many of their articles show things that other magazines with interior in the masthead wouldnt dare. A disheveled bedroom. A sink piled with dirty teacups. But thats the thing thats always drawn me to them. The real. The messy. The unexpected. In the same issue youll find a story on Andy Warhols Life Box hoarding collection followed by some obscure book on the history of Lithuanian textile making. Every issue is masterclass in design. Written by people who can see the backstory and beauty in everything, regardless of pedigree. Even a little Midwestern summer camp.WOI is the last place Id ever dream would acknowledge Wandawegas existence, let alone want to feature it.Heres the unlikely way they found us:A stranger wrote us: my husband and I have a one year old baby. I havent slept in months – Im exhausted. I need a quick get away – and Im drawn to what youve created. Is there any way youd consider having me as an artist in residence? And that was it. He drove 6 hours, and we were fast friends. Like the kind that you meet and think havent we already known each other for a lifetime? He wanted to shoot the corners in rooms that everybody else just walks past. Like my embarrassing shelves of overflowing stacks of jars & tins that Ive dragged back from far flung markets because I love the labels.Thank you @theworldofinteriors for making us feel seen. The photographer is @taylorhallobrien and you should see him. The writer who tells our story better than we ever could is @donnasalek Story link on our highlights
